TRACEABLE SUSTAINABILITY ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP GENERATIONAL FARM
Tolga Farm was established in Kulin in 1977. However, the story of how it was named goes back to Brendon’s grandfather Hubert Savage
Hubert and his 3 brothers left the home farm in Beverley to enlist in World War 2. When they returned from service to their country they named their farms respectively after the towns they completed their wartime service training in.
At the end of the war, Hubert (Bert) returned to Western Australia and the original farm in Beverley had been sold. Bert’s passion for farming was still in him, he applied for and received a war service farm in Williams. He named it “Tolga” after the town in Northern Queensland on the Atherton Tablelands. This tradition continued when Bert’s son Graeme made the decision and moved the farming operation from Williams to Kulin in 1977.
Tolga Farm now encompasses 5800 hectares, 30 kilometres SSE of the Kulin townsite.
Brendon and Gabrielle and their family are passionate about agriculture and the exciting opportunities it presents. They look forward to developing their Certified sustainable TM, low emissions product, and working with like-minded manufacturers.
